In recent times, a good deal of anxious attention has been paid, all over the world, to the utter significance and direct influence of science and technology on our modern lifestyle. Twenty-first centuries is indeed identified as the age of science and technology. Moreover, the progress of any country in the contemporary world depends entirely or solely upon the improvement made by it in the field of technology. In this context, engineering education plays a meaningful and substantial character and its role cannot be excluded.
In-flight International Institute of Aeronautics was established in 2007 at Teenkune, Kathmandu with a view to relieve the barriers of quality education. Inflight Int’l Institute of Aeronautics, abbreviated as IIA, is a Nepal government registered Institute. IIA is the only institution in Nepal responsible for imparting Aeronautical Engineering education in Nepal.

IIA endeavors to fabricate accomplished and capable engineers proficient enough to face the dynamic changes of the present century at a relatively tenable cost. At present, IIA is offering BE program in Aeronautical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Civil, Computer and IT. IIA does also offer courses in Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication, Civil and Computer Engineering. All of the degrees mentioned above are affiliated to Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication (IETE), Institute of Engineers (IE) which offers globally valid and recognized degrees. In Nepal the degrees are recognized by Tribhuvan University and Nepal Engineering Council.
