The Science and Art of Flight
By-Er. Bikash Pokhrel
Everyone has opinions about what makes for a good air craft fly high in the sky, but they don’t stop to think that someone actually has to design them. For an air craft, down from the racetrack to the up in the skies, creating state-of-the-art technology is exhilarating, which is only true for those young people, who want to grow up with an aeronautical engineering degree around some of the world finest machines. The science and art of flight, encompasses the functioning and ownership of aircraft vehicles from balloons to those travel into space. An aeronautical engineering is only a valid degree which applies the principles of science and technology to the research, design, manufacture and maintenance of highly sophisticated products such as aircraft, missiles and space satellites and brings these turning ideas into a reality. Many young people are passionate to gain a degree in Aeronautical engineering that would let them work as an integral part of an Aviation team.
Unfortunately for many people it seems tedious when one has to imagine going abroad to grab the Aeronautical degree which charges them a lot in cash for the tuition fees, accommodation and Visa processing. It is definitely going to be good news to all of those students and parents who will know that it is possible to earn Aeronautical Engineering degree via Inflight International Institute of Aeronautics (IIA) in our very own city Kathmandu. IIA is a constituent institute of Inflight Group of Colleges (IGC), located conveniently at Teenkune, Kathmandu. IIA is a Nepal Govt. registered institute established in 2006, which started courses in Aeronautical Engineering since 2007.
Keeping in view the boom in Aviation Industry, and the continuous advancement, modernization and progress in the field of Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering world wide, IIA stepped into the field of Aeronautical Engineering and started B.E/ B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering and electronics and telecommunication engineering course from January, 2008. Our institute prepares the Nepalese student to compete in the examination conducted by Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) which is Government of India Enterprise. The syllabus of Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) is recognized by all India Council of Technical Education, and pass in AeSI examination has been recognized globally at par with B.E/ B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering. Our degree is also recognized by Tribhuvan University and Nepal Engineering Council. We have highly experienced faculty members from the field of Aviation and Aircraft Maintenance to provide Theoretical classes to our students. To prepare for AeSI exams, students have to undergo both Theoretical knowledge as well as Technical exposure in various Aircraft component & equipment including Airframe & Engine.
Any one who wants to be a top-notch pilot of these flying machines then the aeronautical engineering will be most suitable carrier path. This course is one of the most stimulating courses in engineering. However space science has been advanced in rapid way and man’s persistent wish to explore unknown heights of the sky. So aeronautical Engineering Course is very desirable goal for young people
The Future:
Aeronautical engineers are at the forefront of technology. The Global aerospace industry attracts the very best people, and there are opportunities to enter the aerospace industry at many levels. Indeed aeronautical engineering graduates are highly valued and are currently in great demand. With the boom in air travel in a country like Nepal, the demand for highly skilled engineering professionals far outstrips supply. It is envisaged that this will continue far into the new millennium, ensuring that employment prospects remain buoyant.
So finally all of the +2 graduates stop a moment and look up to the sky! Have you ever thought about a career that is beyond the conventional? One that will enable you to reach for the sky. Have you ever wondered or thought about the technology behind aero planes or even space satellites? Then perhaps it could be the career you waiting for. Why not reach for the sky and be a part of the World-Class global Aerospace industry. Think no further. Think aeronautical engineering. Let it capture your imagination and apply for an Aeronautical Engineering degree courses via IIA now!
